Video Tour of Baseball Star’s Escala Condo

Who is buying all those million dollar condos in Seattle?

One buyer is 26 year old Tim Lincecum, pitcher for the San Francisco Giants who recently bought at Escala after touring 20-25 other places. Having banked $9 million in 2010 guess the price tag was no problem. And while he does have good taste in dining room tables, he really needs to get some paint and art on those walls!

Now being Canadian, I don’t know much about baseball. But I’m trying I’m half way through Moneyball; is it odd that he owns a condo in Seattle but “works” in San Francisco?

Lincecum is a local boy: born in Bellevue, educated in Renton and at UW, so I imagine he has a lot of friends and family around here.

Empty gym, empty parking garage, an expensive dining table, a bunch of tvs and a bed from Sleep Country. Escala living, indeed.

I still can’t believe the Mariners passed him over in the MLB draft! He’s slated to make $13 million for this upcoming season – but watch out for when he hits free-agency!

Thanks for posting these videos.
Tim seems to be a very nice young man.
Without artifice, trying to maintain his friendships, and focused on his career.
It is refreshing to see a youngster (26?) who is not out to try to impress with bling, and fluff, and BS.
I wish the best for him.

Video makes me appreciate having seen the finished units in last year’s Luxe Life Home Tour at Escala. What a difference a creatively furnished interior can make! Without interior design, these buyers are just paying excessive $ to live in a drywall box with a grand view of clouds & fog (with exception of course on the 68 sunny days Seattle sees per year).
