Sunset Vista, an AIA Award Winning Modern
Wow, this AIA award winning modern home at 5001 NE Sunrise Vista in the Sand Point Country Club is amazing!
Built in 2012 it was designed by Lane Williams, whose work we’ve featured here in the past, and is known as the Sunrise Vista house. Lane describes it as:
Basement walls and three fireplaces were salvaged from an original 1950’s structure to create a new and spacious family-oriented home in the Sand Point Country Club community. The second story roofline of the master suite tilts up to the sunrise. Other roofs are completely “green” and maintain a low profile. In the great room, sliding, pocketing doors disappear into walls, creating a 28 foot opening to a private, intimately scaled courtyard with the original fireplace and a translucent roof, encouraging outdoor living.
I love the 28 foot wall that opens to the outside and the green roof with solar is a really nice bonus.
Priced at $2.995m it is 3,720 square feet with five bedrooms and 3.75 bathrooms on a 9,102 square foot lot. Feels underpriced. I’m curious to see what it ends up selling for! Offers are due Tuesday, September 18th.
