A Stunning Modern Home
I find real estate descriptions are often too flowery, using adjectives that don’t quite match reality. But the first word in the following listing is the same word that came to my mind: stunning. And that’s just for the exterior.
I’ve walked by this home on 26th Ave (between Olive and Pine) before and really liked the architectural lines. It’s clean, contemporary and now on the market. Built in 2010, the 3-bedroom, 2,250 sq ft-home features bamboo floors, designer tile, and a 2-sided fireplace that serves the living room & outdoor deck. From the pictures, you get the sense that the design gives the living room on the 2nd floor plenty of privacy.
The listing just came on Redfin today with the seller asking for $815,000 (sold for $756,000 in 2010). That might be a stretch since the home is sort of in no man’s land. While the listing says Capitol Hill, it’s more like somewhere between Cap Hill, Madison Valley and Madrona. Fabulous design aside, location does matter. Let’s see what happens…
