Seattle weekly wrap-up: it was a slow holiday week
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Not surprisingly, last week was a slow week for new listings. We saw sellers put just 48 new listings on the market in Seattle, making it the slowest week of the year for new listings. I expect we’ll see around 125 new listings this week, and then things will continue to slow as we head into the holidays. At this point, most sellers will be waiting for 2024.
As for buyers, they put 114 homes under contract, making it the second slowest week of the year. This week might be even slower given there weren’t many new listings for buyers last week. Note to buyers: if you want to be in a new home for the holidays, this is the week to get under contract!
The Urban Living holiday party is on Saturday! We’re going skating at the Kraken Community Iceplex and have a rink to ourselves with lots of food, drinks, and a skating Santa. So if you’re thinking of working with us next year to buy or sell, we’d be happy to have you join us, just hit reply and I’ll send you an invite!
