Pioneer Square – Brick and Timber at Merrill Place Condos
I saw the wood beams and immediately fell in love. Listed at $650,000, corner unit 402 at 97 S Jackson St has 1,354 square feet, 2 bedrooms (no windows in 1) and 1.5 bathrooms. After drooling over the pictures for awhile, I felt something was missing. I just wanted more; more wood, more bricks, more windows, a bigger kitchen and bathroom. Thankfully my wish was granted, since unit 401 is also on the market. Listed for $595,000, it is also a 2 bedroom (no windows in 1), 1.5 bathroom unit, but smaller at 1,240 square feet. Both have parking. Combining the two would be a dream come true. Looking up the location on Seattle’s DPD site, the two units above, 501 and 502, have a shared permit out for “interior renovation of existing spaces”. Maybe somebody else has the same idea?

Did I mention the courtyard behind the buildings? You can sit outside Il Terrazzo Carmine, sipping your glass of Sauvignon Blanc, munching on some Carpaccio Di Bue, listening to the water gently flow over the fountain.
