Maybe I just don’t “get” the whole modern thing, but are closets too much to ask for?

As far as I can see there are closets in all of the bedrooms. Did you mean the living area? I would suspect that it is for the same reason as they didn’t put a half bath on the main floor. Just not a very a large footprint, which leaves you making too many compromises on the main level. It’s a problem for most newer townhouses in this city.

these ended up looking much better than originally thought they would based on renderings, however they retain really unfortunate floor plans and could easily have been more energy efficient. bah, what a waste.

Is there a view from the Phinney Ave N side? Seems like the layout of the 4 units could have been arranged with each unit having it’s own corner. More windows and light in every unit would be nice.

Yes. In my mind, a bedroom with no closet is not a bedroom at all. (My traditionalist preferences should be obvious at this point.) I love the modern asethetic but it never seems to jive with my lifestyle.

The pictures look pretty, but I imagine entertaining guests. Where do you put their coats? Even the most effete of lifestyles just doesn’t quite work.

Don’t even get me started on “show” kitchens.
