One88 Groundbreaking + New Rendering
One88, the 143-unit new construction condo project in Bellevue, ceremonially broke ground this morning (one of these days I’d like to attend a groundbreaking where they use diggers instead of shovels). It is sounding like they’ll start sales in early 2018, with completion in 2020. We’re hearing pricing will be high to start, don’t expect a deal like the folks who bought at Insignia, this developer’s other project. Insignia delivered into a different market then the one we’re in today!
Speaking at the groundbreaking was Ryan Bosa, the developer, John Stokes, the mayor of Bellevue and Hossein Amanat the architect for the project.
Interesting tidbits where that Bosa started looking at Bellevue twenty years ago, and has another project in the works in Bellevue after this one. The architect for the project, Hossein Amanat, described the project as a “cut crystal”, and will be a distinctive residential project like none-other. Both the architect and the developer sounded excited about the covered decks that will let people have an indoor-outdoor space experience for most of the year. A feature I think is a great idea – hopefully the include an outdoor heater or a gas connection so you could install one.
