Not an Ordinary Houseboat

Before you choke on the price, let me tell you why this houseboat at 3236 Portage Bay Pl E  is different. Most houseboats are at shared docks.  The docks can then be jointly owned by the houseboat owners, or they could be rented from the owner of the dock.  This houseboat is on a single family lot.  You will get wet if you walk to the end of your yard, but this is very common for waterfront lots around here (have somebody qualified explain the details).  It also means the view from your houseboat will not be blocked by other houseboats.  So…$1,100,000 buys a 2 bedroom, 1.75 bathroom houseboat, and a 780 square foot house on land (details not listed), all on a 6,430 square foot lot.  It last sold in 2005 for $925,000.  I’m told the houseboat rents for $3,500 a month, has been rented for 3+ years to the same person and is currently month to month.  The house on land rents for $1,500 a month.
