I am looking for moorage

I’m having a terrible time finding moorage for my gas guzzling 23′ wakeboard boat (I plan to sell it soon but need a month or two more to say good bye.)

If anyone knows of any slips on Lake Union or Lake Washington please let me know. I’d also consider trading boat use for a slip. My preference is for Portage Bay or east side of Lake Union. I’ve called everywhere and I’m striking out big time. I’d like to get in touch with that new dry slip facility on the north shore of Lake Union to the east of Gas Works but they don’t have any signage up yet.

there are currently a couple of units on the market that have slips with them. Possibly the owners would rent them out to you while their units are on the market. There are also a few units for rent that have moorage. One is on Lake St. in Kirkland that has been for rent for a while now.

I used to drydock my boat (many moons ago) during the winter at the Yarrow Bay Marina…just south of Carillon Point (I think the owners name is Dennis) and I always felt that they provided excellent service.

Be wary of trading boat use for a slip…just my opinion. Every time I had to replace a bent prop on my boat it was when I had let someone else use it. At least it was aluminum so it was just the prop that went. If you have a SS prop…the damage can run deeper.

oh…and Davidsons Marina (if still there) up in Kenmore can forklift your boat out of the water and put it “on the racks”. When you are ready for a boarding session all you have to do is call them ahead of time and they’ll dump your boat in the water for you.
