1506 NW 52nd St in Ballard looks really nice. $399,950 for 1,286 square feet.

Why doesn’t any one build some nice town homes like this on Capitol Hill?

My wife and I checked it out and the location is less than desirable. It’s very close to 15th Ave W (the one going over the Ballard bridge) and located right across from a car wash in a rather industrial and noisy neighborhood.

The developer however looks promising. Here is their website:

i love the idea of more work/loft spaces especially in areas like capitol hill, eastlake, queen anne… or any of the neighborhoods around the city that have a need for integrated retail/housing. i hope knoll development continues to expand the amount of properties!

the comment from andre mentions the less than desirable location, but i’m quite impressed with the interiors in this price range. oceanside glass for the kitchen backsplash, nice dark cabinetry and hardware, flexible floorplan, and high ceilings. The did a great job on the bath with a modern vanity, elevated square sink, glass tile walls (it seems from the pics), and the stone pebble floor… all of this for only $311/sf! too bad it’s not on capitol hill :)

i do wish they would have shown the real exterior photo along with the concept sketch, because the CMU block facade (in the sketch) doesn’t seem very appealing in this very cold gray tone…
