Lawyer for HOA Issue?

A reader writes in,

Matt – I’ve been a follower of your blog for a few years now. I’m currently a homeowner at [a Seattle condo] and due to some unfortunate circustances I had to relocate. I’ve requested a rental hardship from my HOA, but they have denied my request. I believe I have a legitimate and reasonable request. Do you know of any good HOA lawyers who I can discuss this with? I’ve done some research, but i’d like to discuss with several before paying any legal fees. Thanks.

Does anyone know what is happening a Escala? I heard a group comprising the majority of their buyers are suing to get their earnest money back. Is this likely to work for them? It sounds like other buyers have been successful at this. In my city some buyers have gotten their full refund.

This looks like a cool building, if this happens prices should come down significantly. What prices would be low enough there to account for the drop in market values, since they sold out at the peak of the condo boom? I thik a 2 bedroom at $650-750k makes sense at this location.
