Interesting Sales Last Week
There were 13 condo and townhouse sales in Seattle last week according to Redfin. Here are a few of them:
Two sales at Escala last week. A 19th floor one-bedroom unit for $554,000 and a 28th floor three-bedroom unit for $1,880,000. Something is indeed changing at Escala.
An eighth-floor one bedroom at Mosler Lofts in Belltown sold for $315K last week, which just so happens to be the exact same price it sold for in 2007.
Also in Belltown, Gallery sold a first-floor one-bedroom unit for $380,000. I wonder if that’s actually ground floor, or if ground floor is lobby and first floor is really second floor. Anyone know? Also, the building has an infelicitous 13 floors, so that would change which floor exactly is doomed.
Ballard has had some awesome deals lately, and this one-bedroom unit just three blocks from the lovely Market Street is no exception, selling for a mere $323 per square foot, $60 below the Seattle median.
The buyer of this Belltown one-bedroom resale did not get quite as good a deal, purchasing at $407 per square foot. However, he still payed $20K less than it sold for in 2006.
