Interesting Sales This Week
There were 41 condo and townhouse sales in Seattle last week according to Redfin. Here are a few interesting ones:
This twelfth floor studio at Cristalla in Belltown first sold in 2005, and was flipped three months later for a $100K profit (those were the days!). It just sold again last week at a $30K loss for $262,500. Does that view look photoshopped to you?
This two-bedroom unit on Capitol Hill just sold for $369,950. Redfin has it listed as multi-family housing, which seems a little strange for new construction. Duplex, maybe?
The view from the deck of this two-bedroom unit on Lake Washington must be spectacular. It sold this week for $385,500. It was built in 1964, though. I wouldn’t want to be there during an earthquake.
Can you guess what year this Madison Valley townhouse was built? I think the mustard-colored siding with brick might give it away. 1978. It sold this week for a very respectable $300,000. At $195 per square foot, that was one of the best deals in the city last week.
One of the most expensive units in the city at $556 per square foot was a first-floor two-bedroom unit at the snobby 200 West Highland. We’ve made fun of their website copy before, but seriously, it’s a wonder the rest of us get by without “gracious entertaining areas” and “upper echelon materials.”
