On Thursday we got a sneak peek at 4012 Washington Ave W, known as the Ellicott, at Fort Lawton in Discovery Park just before it hit the market for $2.8m.

Named after Anna Ellicott, whose land donation contributed to the formation of Fort Lawton in 1900, the home sits on .39 acres overlooking Discovery Park. The sunsets from the veranda must be epic.
For fans of vintage homes, Rise Properties with design help from GGLO, did a pretty incredible remodel of the 6,278 square foot home. Yes, you read that right, it is over 6,200 square feet. The place is huge! It has two master suites, two other bedrooms, formal dining room, library, living room, fully updated kitchen, huge livable basement as well as an attic that would make a huge family room or play room.
Originally built in 1904, the Ellicott was a former residence for many of the military’s most senior officers until Fort Lawton was closed in 1973.
As a protected national landmark you get a property tax exemption for ten years.
So far they’ve sold four homes in the Officer’s Row sub-division. The remaining homes will be completed this year with the exception of the one that suffered from a massive fire this week :(.
