Heads-Up for Design Aficionados
If you’re a fan of interesting design, mark your calendar for next week. The 2nd annual Seattle Design Festival starts September 20th and runs through the 23rd. A group of non-profits, such as AIA Seattle and ARCADE, created the event to showcase how “design adds value to our lives, our city, and our region.”
There are about 40 events scheduled throughout Downtown Seattle, from a workshop to encourage design ideas to a South Lake Union walking tour to a “design block” where shipping containers will become pop-up shops, exhibit galleries, and activity spaces. Some of the events are free, all are open to the public. For more information, check out the list of events and locations.
