Eastside weekly wrap-up: seasonal slow down continues
Despite a slight pop in new listings the week prior, this week set back to the expected seasonal slow down. New listings were down 5% w-o-w, offsetting gains the week before. Most sellers will be holding off until the first couple of weeks of September to get on the market.
For buyers, they also held off as pending homes sales dropped 3% and for the second week in a row. That didn’t stop some buyers! We were able to help clients get under contract on great home in Redmond, beating out one other offer while keeping an inspection contingency for our clients. With homes sitting on the market and fewer and fewer new listings, well priced and prepped sellers will likely stand-out as the top home of the week.
The most distinctive house of the week was this Medina home designed by Vassos Demetriou listed at $10.5M. A few other homes this week with stellar views, this Bellevue home on top of Cougar Mountain is calling and this Bellevue Towers unit with westerly views went pending in less than a week.
For newer builds, this 2020 Kennydale home in Renton has lake views and is just steps from the lake and don’t miss this new construction on a huge 4.25 acre lot in Union Hill or this new build with soaring ceilings in Juanita.
We’ll close it out with two stand-out mid-century moderns: $2.9M in the First Hill area of Mercer Island and $1.5M in Issaquah!
Thinking of buying before the end of the year? Don’t miss our next home buying class, September 7th.
