Eastside weekly wrap-up: only 29 new listings during the holiday week!
Last week we were wondering if we would beat the new listing count from this week in 2022 (24) and we did! 29 sellers put their home on the market this week heading into Thanksgiving. Not a surprising number but expect about 70-80 new listings across the entire Eastside next week before we wind down for the rest of the year. It’s a good time to talk to us about selling in 2024 and getting prepped to go on market after the holidays!
For buyers, they stayed active given the relative consistency in mortgage rates (still around 7.3% this week). Buyers put 87 homes under contract, essentially flat from the week before. If you’re looking to get into a new home before the end of the year, this would be the week. Sellers, I’d guess about 50-60 homes get under contract this week and likewise tail off towards the end of the year. Active inventory on the Eastside dropped to 595 listings.
The Urban Living holiday party is on Saturday! We’re going skating at the Kraken Community Iceplex and have a rink to ourselves with lots of food, drinks, and a skating Santa.
