Eastside weekly wrap-up: listings increase but buyers still need to move fast
Despite a 5% increase in new listings last week, it’s hard to be a buyer right now! On the one hand, there are more listings hitting the market which is great news. Also good news for the determined buyer, rising interest rates are causing some to drop out of the hunt and fewer homes are going pending (8% week-over-week).
On the other hand, these factors are also causing sellers to be a bit trigger happy and jump at the first offer. We had clients try to tour multiple homes on the Eastside this weekend and each one took an early offer despite having multiple tours lined up. Sellers, if your home is in good condition and priced well (not high!), you should feel confident to multiple offers on your review date!
For homes the caught our eye: a $7.3M Yarrow Point contemporary and a three acre estate in Redmond with a lot of everything (including a private basketball court!). Check out this modern Kirkland home with elevated views for 180 degrees and this waterfront estate on West Lake Sammamish is ready for summer!
Reminder! Our next home buying class is April 6th. RSVP.
