Eastside weekly wrap-up: highest week for listings this year
Good news for buyers! New listings jumped again, marking the highest number of new listings this year. 319 new homes is near the level we saw this week in 2019. Ideally we’ll see several more weeks of increased listings before Memorial Day. Sellers, the market tends to plateau and slow down after Memorial Day so we encourage you to list before then!
Pending sales rebounded this week with 222 buyers putting homes under contract. While this is still quite a bit lower than new listings, it seems like buyers are chasing the same listings. 19 homes listed this week accepted an offer in 4 days or less on market. 95 of the homes listed the prior week are still active as well. Half of those are listed over $2M and three-quarters over $1M. I doubt these homes will sit for long but a buyer that moves fast might be able to catch themselves in a non-competitive or less competitive situation.
For stand-out homes this week, don’t miss this $4.2M mid-century in Clyde Hill or this $7M waterfront remodeled cabin on Lake Sammamish. Speaking of remodels, you can’t beat the studs-out work done in this $2.75M home in Redmond! Looking for newer homes? This Mercer Island 2018 contemporary is worth a look. And if views and a private court for tennis, pickleball, and basketball are for you, then you’ll want to consider this $3.5M Lakemont home.
