Built in 1890, The Nord is a historic 7-unit lofted condo building in Seattle’s Pioneer Square near the waterfront, Occidental Park, Pike Place Market and downtown. Offering studio and two-bedroom layouts ranging from 327 to 792 square feet, homes at The Nord feature 10-foot ceilings, original exposed brick and double-hung windows. Most units boast either a Juliette wrought iron balcony or atrium alcove, as well as updated, modern kitchens and bathrooms. Shared community amenities include bike parking and expansive city views from the rooftop deck.
The Nord’s conversion was led by local development company Pioneer Square Group (Live Historic), whose focus is the preservation of pre-1940s buildings. The Nord was named after Frank Norquist, the building manager when it was the Thompson Hotel.
