A Cabinet Maker’s 1971 Home on Queen Anne
815 W Argand St is, dare I say, the perfect blend of 1970s split-entry with some mid-century modern, with features like a wall of windows, a rock fireplace, and exposed wood-clad ceiling.
Built in 1971 by the original owner who was a cabinet maker, we hear that the cabinets are solid! Maybe just drop new countertops in for an in-expensive kitchen re-fresh.
The home is 3,130 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and sits on a triangular 7,600 square foot lot.
Priced at $1.2m they’re review offers on Monday, April 9th.
Update! someone who used to live in the house wrote in with some additional info – we learned that the builder was a very religious man, so he borrowed from the design of old Free Methodist churches as inspiration for the ceiling and the large beam that supports it. He also built a couple houses across the street. If you need storage, we hear there’s two large rooms, almost bedroom sized by the garage.
