This morning Andy Lakha’s Fortress broke ground on their $1+ billion twin tower Avenue Bellevue project that includes condos, an InterContinental Hotel, and high end retail.

The event, attended by members of the Avenue team and Bellevue’s mayor (who lives just 1,000 feet from the site) also served as a sneak peek opportunity for the soon-to-open sales center for the the Avenue “Residences”, the more affordable 228-unit tower, with pricing starting in the $600s, with 130 residences under $1.3m.
Avenue’s first release, their “Estates” have done well with about a third of them reserved (they’ll be converting to purchase and sale in a few weeks). Rumor has it a penthouse went for around $2,800 a square foot (!).
