Developer survey as 103 units come to Pine and Bellevue
Last year I totally expected the Marion Apartments at the corner of Pine and Bellevue to go condo conversion as they were sprucing up the exterior. However, it looks like they are now planning on demolishing the building and putting in 103 residential units. I think anything they put on the site will be an improvement from the building there currently.
What’s interesting to note is that The Stratford Company (they also did the Sienna on Capitol Hill and the Dexter Place in Queen Anne) is running a survey to get people’s thoughts on what they should build, New Condominium Preference Survey. They were advertising it with a big banner on the building but when I went to take a photo of it the wind and blown it off.
Bonus link: Wedgwood Action comes to agreement with the developer Murray Franklyn. Among the concessions:
- Retail signage will not include any back lit plastic molded signs
- No check cashing, sun tanning or pawn shops will be allowed in the building
Will POWHat have equal success with Murray Franklyn on the Pine and Belmont project? Will POWHat need to go toe-to-toe with The Stratford Company?
