It’s official, Amazon to SLU and a loft
Friday afternoon before the Christmas holiday weekend seems like a bad time to issue a press release but I am not in PR so what do I know. From their press release:
Amazon.com’s new headquarters will include up to 11 new buildings on six blocks in the heart of South Lake Union, located along Terry and Boren Avenues between Mercer and John Streets totaling up to 1.6 million square feet. The company expects to begin moving into its new office space in mid-2010, with full occupancy in 2011.
Update: The Seattle Times is covering this story today, Amazon to make giant move to South Lake Union
And if you still haven’t bought a Christmas present for that special someone you could always consider this Northlake Loft which just appeared on the market (and its a real loft not one of those flats posing as a loft.) $399,950 for 778 square feet. Thanks to EconE for pointing it out.
