Capitol Hill Contemporary Townhouse In A Sea Of Cookie Cutters
It’s sad to find the southeast corner of Capitol Hill is home to so may bland townhouses. Thankfully there is 126 21st Ave E to show the way forward. Built in 2009, the low point of the housing bust, the builder definitely took a risk in offering something different. At 1,230 square foot, it’s smaller than many townhouses, but the listing price is only $489,000 which works out to $398/ square foot. With 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, deck, patio, bamboo radiant heated floors, and 1 parking space; it packs a lot into a small space. Main living area is on the second floor, with the 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom up. It looks like the half bathroom is on the ground floor. The only bathroom picture is not very clear, so I didn’t include it. There is a second townhouse behind with a shared wall, but the stairs are on that wall which should limit the potential for noise transmission. Would be great to have a rooftop deck, could it be possible to add? Love the windows. This should be a delightful alternative to overpaying for a boring apartment on the Hill.
