Fremont Classic Gets Contemporary Remodel

Word on the street is that there were seven pre-inspections at 3618 Whitman Ave N…today!  I can see why.  What a great contemporary remodel of a classic 1919 cape cod.  The layout, though compact, seems very functional.  Vaulting the living room ceiling and adding skylights really opens up the long, narrow living room.  It also looks like they widened the doorways leading into the kitchen and dining area, improving light, flow, and overall usability of the space.  Interesting floating doorway between the kitchen and dining!  Custom cabinetry and built-ins provide much more storage than the typical kitchen of this era.  Two bedrooms and a bath round out the main level.  A full studio apartment downstairs could serve as the master suite, or continue as a vacation rental.  We found the 1 bd, 1 a unit with separate exterior entry listed on VRBO.  If you like this one act fast….very very fast.
