Eastside weekly update: listings rebound 30% after last week’s drop
Surprise, surprise! Listings rebounded 30% this week after last week’s unexplained pull back in activity. 215 sellers got their homes on the market on Eastside. This is likely the last “big” week for listings as we’re heading towards the 4th of July weekend and the second half of the year. The market historically slowest in July and August while buyers and sellers enjoy the summer.
Buyers also responded with 183 pending sales, a 37% increase week-over-week. There continue to be some very determined buyers even though rates continue to hover just below 7%. Despite that determination and the increase in buyer activity this week, active inventory has increased for the fourth week in a row with 764 homes for sale on the Eastside… and 57 of those homes had a price drop. It will be interesting to see how much farther the market slows through the end of the summer!
Mari Bellevue had their topping off celebration this weekend, a big milestone on their way to opening in spring of 2024. They’ve sold roughly 25% of their units in the first few weeks of sales – let us know if you want more info!
For homes we liked this week, a couple of mid-century homes stood out! A Clyde Hill home with parallel walls of windows and a Mercer Island home that went pending in two days. For water-life, don’t miss a modern home overlooking Lake Sammamish and a contemporary home with 100 feet of west-facing waterfront in Bellevue.
Our next home-buying class is July 6th! RSVP here.
