Seattle weekly wrap-up: last week before the summer slow down
Buyers, this week is likely the last (or second last) busy week for new listings until after Labor Day! I say second last because, the week after the Fourth of July, so the week of July 10th, can often see a reasonable number of new listings… Either way, the prime real estate season is winding down.
What about last week? Buyers saw 276 new listings in Seattle last week (up 2% w-o-w) while putting 213 under contract (down 3.6% w-o-w.)
Inventory has now hit a new high for the year.
Last week also brought good news for Infinity Shore Club buyers, the building’s lien has been resolved so homes there can now close after a long delay.
Our fave new listing last week is definitely this lakefront midcentury modern for just $3m. It’d be a project though! Our second fave is this Magnolia modern for $3.2m. Or how about this remodeled midcentury in Olympic Manor?
What’s going on with the sale of our floating home? We grew impatient waiting for a buyer but quickly found a tenant. We’ll try to sell it again in the spring when hopefully rates are lower and there is less competition from other floating homes. In the meantime, our new home arrived and we’re getting ready to move next week.
