StoryBuilt announces new townhouse development in Beacon Hill
StoryBuilt, an Austin-based residential and commercial community developer, recently announced its plans to build a new townhouse development in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood. The community, called Sumie, will sit at 2123 18th Ave. S—smack dab between all of the connectivity and amenities along Beacon Avenue S and Rainier Avenue S. One of the company’s several projects in Seattle, Sumie will consist of 44 one-, two- and three-bedroom townhomes.
“We believe this is a great site because of the big east-facing views, the walkability to light rail, shops, and restaurants, and the shared community spaces,” StoryBuilt Vice President of Acquisitions and Development Patrick Cobb said. “Beacon Hill is a vibrant urban neighborhood with excellent parks and access to both Seattle and Bellevue.”
Construction is slated to begin during summer 2023, and Sumie is set for completion in early 2025. “Our in-house design team is finalizing plans for this boutique community—the homes will feature layouts that appeal to a range of buyers looking for an active, in-city lifestyle,” Cobb says. Pricing is subject to change based on market rates at the time of sale, but the anticipated range is from the low $500,000s to $1 million.
Among StoryBuilt’s other developments across Seattle, the company is also planning a 16-unit townhouse community on N 185th Street in Shoreline and another in Georgetown along Carleton Ave. S with 19 units.
