Eastside weekly wrap-up: pending sales up two weeks in a row
New listings continued to slow in the expected seasonal decline this week with just 188 sellers getting on market. Most sellers will be waiting until after Labor Day at this point to list their homes to capitalize on the normal bump in buyer activity.
Speaking of buyers, they’re showing signs of adjusting to the new normals of interest rates and have returned to the market in increasing numbers the last two weeks. 161 homes went under contract last week as savvy buyers are taking advantage of the lack of competition, price reductions and lots of inventory. Despite low listing activity, there’s still 1,149 homes for sale on the Eastside!
A few homes in Newport Shores on Cascade Key stood out for us this week! Take your pick of a modern home built in 2014 for $8M or an $18M pre-construction opportunity with moorage for larger boats. For mid-century modern fans, don’t miss this remodeled Medina home with a pool and this mid-century on a rare half-acre, also in Medina. And if you’re looking for show-stopping views, there’s an Eastgate home in Bellevue that you won’t want to miss!
Reminder, we’re doing a home buying class over Zoom Wednesday at 4pm.
