It may not feel like it but new listings on the Eastside have continued to climb steadily over the last several weeks. A 9% increase this past week is a welcome sign for buyers as we head deeper into the spring season. Despite a big jump in interest rates, buyers remained active, putting 212 listings under contract.
We’ll be digging into the February stats next but homes were selling 15% over asking in February! We’ll see in a few weeks if the rate increases and more inventory has spread out more of that competition or put some buyers on the sideline due to affordability.

For homes that caught our eye this week, it was mostly new construction farmhouses, most notably this $9.8M farmhouse in Enatai. We also liked this new construction farmhouse in the East of Market area of Kirkland. For mid-century lovers, here’s an updated Mercer Island home near Homestead Field and this untouched mid-century in Medina accepted an offer after four days. And I can’t get over all the windows and vaulted ceilings in this $5.2M Cougar Mountain home in Issaquah!
