Seattle weekly wrap-up: more new listings, but big rate hike
Last week we saw 327 new listings in Seattle, the most new listings in a week so far this year giving buyers some hope! Especially with the number of homes going under contract flat week-over-week. Though interest rates are not giving buyers hope as they jumped dramatically today, with lenders quoting anywhere from 4.375 to 4.625%.
We have lots of stories of crazy bidding wars last week, just check our Twitter. But remarkably we helped a client get a penthouse on First Hill for 6% off the list price after just three weeks on market (granted it needs some remodeling…)
Our fave new listing is this $3.5m waterfront midcentury in Magnolia, wow! If you’re looking for a more modest midcentury, here’s a 1,200 square foot one in Montlake, or a 740 square foot Paul Hayden Kirk in Shoreline, or an updated loft at the Talisman. And if you’re looking for a midcentury on Bainbridge, don’t miss this one. We don’t see a lot of Lambos in Seattle staging, so check out this place in the Central District. Meanwhile, here’s a rare good-looking new Seattle townhome and a sweet penthouse loft in Pioneer Square.
