Eastside weekly wrap-up: new listings climb for the third week in a row
Don’t look now but it’s starting to feel like the spring season is here. New listings on the Eastside climbed for the third week in a row with 213 homes hitting the market. It’s wild to be excited about just 200+ listings but the trends are following last year fairly closely, albeit at lower levels than last year. Even as we get more listings, the market continues to favor sellers due to low inventory.
Buyers got back at it last week, putting 184 homes under contract. The 18% jump week-over-week is not surprising following the weeks of school breaks in mid-February and some deserved buyer-fatigue from the ultra-low inventory from the start of the year. Keep being patient – more listings are on the way!
For homes we liked this week: a rare southwest facing unit at Bellevue Towers was on the market for two days before accepting an offer. In Eastgate, you’d never guess this fully remodeled house is mid-century and don’t miss this Japanese Modern home in Clyde Hill!
In the news, Microsoft is partnering with a Spokane-based SRM Development to convert a half-built hotel into affordable apartments. While they won’t be condos, it’s much welcomed amid record home prices in Bellevue!
