Very Nice and Reasonable Rental at Mosler Lofts
I’ve always had a condo crush on the Mosler Lofts in Belltown, with its concrete, steel and glass facade. If I didn’t own a place, I would jump at this new rental listing.
Unit #512 spans 1,126 sq. ft. with one bedroom, a den and 1.75 bathroom, plus a private 500 sq. ft. deck. As the photos show, the unit gets a lot of natural light thanks to the 10′ floor-to-ceiling windows.
Surprisingly, the owner has listed the rent at just $2,895 per month. While that isn’t cheap, it is very reasonable when you compare it to other high-end rentals around Downtown Seattle, such as Via6 and Volta. Some of those one-bedroom units top out at $4,000.
Look at it another way: this loft last sold in November 2007 for $790,000. If you put 20% down ($160,000), you’re looking at a monthly payment (including HOA dues and property taxes) of $3,833. So, $2,895 is a steal, without the commitment.
If you do rent this unit, invite us over this summer for a meetup on your deck.
