New Condos Coming to Second & Stewart
For everyone who missed out on NEXUS, the most recent condo project in Seattle, don’t despair, more condos are coming!
The PSBJ reported last week (sorry, we’ve been busy!) that, Chinese company plans condo high-rise by Pike Place Market.
Through a translator, Create World CEO Lili Lu on Friday said she’s going to build condos because her company has clients in China who want to buy homes in Seattle. Lu thinks as many as 40 percent of the units in the luxury building could be sold to Chinese nationals.
Wood Partners’ plan called for 177 apartments. Lu said Create World will reconfigure the project so it will have more, smaller-sized condo units. Construction is scheduled to start sometime next year. Create World has not yet hired the contractor for the project that Seattle architecture firm Hewitt designed.
UPDATE: And we’ve also learned that Create World has actually purchased another another site/proposed project at 427 9th Avenue N, which was originally proposed by Wilshire Capital. This would be the largest multi-family building in the SLU neighborhood!
