Weekly wrap-up: $60m record setting home sale
The gossip this week is that the north-west tip of Hunts Point sold off-market for $60m. The most expensive Seattle-area sale to date! We boat by it often and it looks amazing, but wow that price. (Image above is from Google “Street View”.)
What also caught our eye, and is certainly within reach of more buyers, is a Portage Bay modern for $2.1m, or this Portage Bay NW contemporary. Looking for something funky? How about this home designed to be like a barn in Bellevue.
Not surprisingly, the pace of new listings continues to slow but buyer interest continues to be strong with nearly 300 homes going under contract last week. Expect that inventory levels will start to decline for the next few months as everyone takes a break first for the election, then Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.
