A Peek inside Bellevue’s just finished One88
One88, the brand new 143 unit condo building in downtown Bellevue, has now closed over 25 units and expects to have their remaining pending units closed within 4 to 6 weeks.
They’re still wrapping up the finishing touches, but already some buyers have moved in. Oddly due to covid and the border closure, we got to see it in person before Bosa, the Canadian developer of the project. See below for our photos, it turned out great.
Having spent a lot of time touring Insignia recently, which was also built by Bosa, One88 feels related, yet a definite step above in terms of finish and detail. Given Covid, the covered all season balconies will likely be very welcome. I like their cozy feel as opposed to Insignia’s which feel rather exposed. And also given Covid, buyers will likely enjoy the boutique feeling of a 143-unit building versus a building like Insignia with 698 units.
Not surprising for a new building, we’re seeing some buyers immediately post their unit for rent or for sale. Some are likely speculators, others have likely seen their plans change since One88 went on sale two years ago. Given that when One88 initially sold, the market was bonkers, and now with Covid putting a deep chill on the condo market, it will be interesting to see how they fare.
