Stricker-Designed Home in West Seattle
The next stop on our completely unplanned tour of Milton Stricker-designed homes is this 2,800 square foot home in West Seattle that was listed last week for $824K. In similar fashion to the Morris’ home debut last month, the owners are hosting a special open house this Thursday to give architecture enthusiasts and potential buyers alike the opportunity to view Stricker’s work.
About the West Seattle home:
Built in 1982 and still owned by the original family, this Stricker-designed home carries on the Frank Lloyd Wright legacy in a private, wooded setting in West Seattle. The striking angles, warm cedar walls, two stone fireplaces, and walls of windows provide panoramic views of Elliott Bay, Queen Anne, downtown Seattle, and Mt Rainier.
Located at 2274 Lotus Ave SW, the home contains 3 bedrooms, 2.75 baths, 2 decks, and dramatic vaulted ceilings (although it is the stylin’ entryway that really catches my eye).
